Skin Food Omija Whitening Serum Review (sample sachet)

My Review about Skin Food Omija Whitening Serum in sample sachet

Here again my short review about sample version of skin food skincare, lately I bought several sample sachets via online, to see whether it worked for me or not. I think it’s a wise idea to try the sample first before buying the full size. I’m sorry right now I can’t provide the complete packaging description since I do not buy the full version.

This is the sample sachet. U can see the skinfood logo and Omija berry

This is the front side of the sachet, cute vintage design as known from Skin Food

This is the back side, most in Korean Languange, I don't understand

U can visit the site here :

I borrowed this image from Skin Food Official Website,
this is the pic of the full version bottle of Skin Food Omija Serum.

This is the info from skin food web site:
A serum that brightens skin using a patent-awarded Omija herb complex and ingredients producing skin-lightening effects.
To Use :
After toner application, apply an ample amount onto the face with gentle strokes and leave until it is completely absorbed.

U can read the info about the ingredients here :

Here is the ingredients list from the site above :
Water, Erythritol, Hydrogenated c6-14 olefin polymers, Butylene Glycol, Cetyl caprylate, Cyclopenasiloxane, Niacinamide, Polyglycerin-3, Methyl glucose isostearate, Caprylyl Methicone, PEG-100 Stearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Diacetyl Boldine, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Propylene Glycol, Carbomer, Salix Nigra, Arginine, Hydrogenated lecithin, Chamomilla Recutita, Allantion, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Sucrose laurate, Sorbitol, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Ceramide 3, Morus Alba Root Extract, Lactobacillus ferment, Lysolecithin, Disodium EDTA, Glycyrrhiza Glabra, Tetrasodium EDTA, Methylparaben, Butyl Paraben, Phenoxyethanol, Alcohol, Parfum, schizandra chinese fruit extract, dicaprylate/dicaprate, maackia fruit stem extra.

Like the other Skin Food product, this one is fragranced, it’s a medium scent though, smells like something mixed with herbal, maybe this is the smell of omija, I’m not sure, there’s a hint of alcohol smell too. I noticed that most of Skin Food skincare products are containing alcohol. Fortunately, the smell of this serum is refreshing and I’m not bothered by it.

This is how the serum looks like

Texture : white lotion, bit rich, moisturizing, medium consistency, medium scented.

I must say that this is bit too thick for a serum coz compared with my parsley and mandarin emulsion, this one is a bit thicker and richer. This serum is in form of white lotion with medium consistency. On my first usage, I applied it after toner and before emulsion. I used it at night since I didn’t like to layer many skincare under my bb cream. It is easily absorbed into my skin. But after about 10-15 minutes, I noticed that my face became oilier, is it because this serum too rich for me? I’m not sure. But this oily feel happened again and again every time I put this serum on my face. Maybe this serum is bit too moisturizing and rich for my oily face. Sometimes I only use this serum alone after toner, without applying  emulsion/night cream. I never use this omija serum in the morning since I was afraid my face would become oilier.

My night order was :
Toner - - > Skin Food Omija Serum - - > Emulsion/Cream
Or
Toner - - > Skin Food Omija Serum

I noticed my face is bit brightened, freshened, hydrated and smooth in the morning, whenever I use this serum at night. But I can’t say much for whitening effect since I only finish 3 sachets of it, one sachet is enough for 3-4 times usage. A little amount is enough for my entire face and I usually spread it in thin layer.

So, these below are my conclusion.
Pros :
- moisturizing and makes my skin smooth
- easily absorbed on my skin
- brightens and freshens my skin
- did not clog my pores

Cons :
- The full size version is more expensive among the other skin food skincare products
- too rich for my skin, made my face oilier than usual
- fragranced

Who may like it :
- Dry / normal skin
- Want a moisturizing serum
- Want a brightening effect
- Like the scent of it, don’t mind fragrance

Who may not like it :
- Oily skin, acne prone and sensitive (coz it made my skin oilier)
- Don’t like fragrance in skincare

Repurchase? Maybe. I like the brightening effect but I’m bothered by the fact that it makes my skin oilier whenever I use it.

So what about u? Ever tried this before? I’d like to know ur story : )

Aq belinya di tokosample.com tapi rada nyesel coz harga di situ kemahalan, belakangan baru tau kalo di intenscorner.com (ini ada fb-ny jg) ama gilasample.blogspot.com tu harganya lebih murah nyaris separonya.
