Oriflame Optimals Even Out Day Cream Spf 20

(Note : I write my review just for sharing based on my own experience, I don’t get paid for this, no other motives such as promotion or doing bad critics for some labels/ products. I bought all my reviewed items by my own money and I tried those products because of my own curiousity)

Review : Oriflame Optimals Even Out Day Cream Spf 20

 http://id.oriflame.com/products/product-detail.jhtml?prodCode=18826
The picture is taken from oriflame official site, I can't provide pictures by my self, well I'm not good at taking photos and don't have a good quality camera, sorry.

Don’t mind my bad English… just read it :)

My skin : oily-combi, sensitive, uneven skin tone, post-acne blemished, sometimes looks a bit pale, skin tone tend to be darker because sun exposure, medium tone (not fair one, not dark one either)

Packaging : In a clear glass jar, u can see the amount of the product inside. It has a plastic cap in crème color. U better take the product with a spatula and don’t dip ur finger inside it to avoid bacterial contamination. It came in 50 ml jar.

Texture : medium consistency non sticky cream with white with bit mix of crème color, easy absorbed, (supposed to be) non greasy, has little unpleasant chemical smell but soon will fade away as u wear it.

Ingredients :
AQUA, ETHYLHEXYL METHOXYCINNAMATE, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, GLYCERIN, OCTOCRYLENE, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, ALUMINUM STARCH OCTENYLSUCCINATE, GLYCERYL STEARATE, PEG-100 STEARATE, TALC, CETEARETH-20, POTASSIUM CETYL PHOSPHATE, SODIUM CITRATE, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, PHENOXYETHANOL, BUTYL METHOXYDIBENZOYLMETHANE, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, C18-36 ACID GLYCOL ESTER, CITRIC ACID, PARFUM, IMIDAZOLIDINYL UREA, MAGNESIUM ALUMINUM SILICATE, DIMETHICONE, ALUMINA, METHYLPARABEN, DISODIUM EDTA, SILICA, GLYCERYL ACRYLATE/ACRYLIC ACID COPOLYMER, SODIUM POLYACRYLATE, RUMEX OCCIDENTALIS EXTRACT, BUTYLPARABEN, ETHYLPARABEN, GLYCYRRHIZA GLABRA EXTRACT, PROPYLPARABEN, SODIUM METHYLPARABEN, ISOBUTYLPARABEN, ASCORBIC ACID, BHT, ASCORBYL METHYLSILANOL PECTINATE, CI 77891
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
On March 2012, I bought it from my friend who became an oriflame consultant, she offered me 50% discount from the real price so I only spent Rp.75.000 for 1 jar. The package came in a carton box, and when I opened the jar, theres an alumunium foil inside attached on the glass jar, quit hygienic  I supposed. I noticed the smell, it was not a pleasant smell, little disturbed me but it’s ok since it was not strong and easy fade away. It contains Licorice and Rumex extract as skin lightening ingredients.
I took it with spatula and applied it in a thin layer on my clean face. A little amount (bout a pea size) is enough for entire face and neck. On the first application, I felt this product is a bit too moist since I have super oily skin. I’m a type of who doesn’t like to layer a lot of skincare/make up for daily routine.  I knew that I could not wear it alone and just put a face powder on it although my face powder has a good oil control. I put my matte finish liquid foundation which has a good oil control then I finish it with my oil control loose powder. It settled then. I used it along with Oriflame Optimals Even Out Spot Concentrate 10 ml. So the order of my morning daily routine is :

Milk Cleanser -->  Facial Wash --> Toner -->  Oriflame Even Out Dark Spot Fading Concentrate
--> Oriflame Even Out Day Cream spf 20 --> luminous liquid foundie --> luminous loose powder

For your info, I just recovered from a terrible acne disaster. It’s been a month since my face has been calming down. Because I still tend to breakout if I use compact powder or two way cake, so I prefer loose powder and try not bother about the coverage. And I used water based foundation that would not clog my pores although the foundation did not have good coverage just for the oil control reason.
I read many reviews and raves on the internet about this product before I decided to buy it. Most of those review said that they used it twice a day, as day cream and in the evening or used it as night cream and worked well on them. They said it was ok to use it as night cream even it has spf, coz it would be more effective if they used it twice a day. Well, my main reason buying it was I wanted to get rid of my post-acne blemishes and lighten my skin tone that got darkened by sun exposure from my outdoor activities. One week using it, I noticed my skin became soft and supple, it smoothed the rough part of my skin and keep it hydrated. After two weeks using it, I noticed my dark spots started to fade and it lightened my skin tone. I realized that It is not an instant lightening program for this product, I had to be patient. I used it twice a day, in the morning and evening. Sometimes I used it at night before sleeping as night cream, letting it on my skin all night long and wake up with shiny oily face in the morning. I used it more amount in the evening/night than in the morning.
I will continue using it since it works for me and wait for the optimum result :) I’ll update on this review :)

Pros :
- medium consistency non sticky texture
- easy absorbed
- has SPF in it
- still affordable price if u’re oriflame member n cheaper if u buy it in a discount period
 - keep my skin hydrated
- soften rough part of my skin
- a little amount for entire face means a jar can go a long way
- correct my pale skin to a healthier look
-  even out my skin tone, worth the price
- did not clog my pores

Cons :
- contains alcohol and perfume
- unpleasant smell
- tend to be greasy for oily skin

Repurchase : Maybe, if oriflame sell this again in a discount
actually I want to look for a better product in the same price range out there, which is not too moist for my oily skin, and more natural/organic, no alcohol n non perfumed, but while I haven’t found any yet, I will stick to it :)

May like it if u :
- an oriflame member who looks for lightening cream in affordable price
- those with dry/normal/combi who like to lighten up skin tone or want to correct post acne blemishes
   or other pigmentation
- those who do not mind using product contains alcohol and fragrance

May not like it if u :
- have super sensitive skin that wont tolerate alcohol and fragrance
- have oily skin, this product is tend to be too moist and greasy for those with oily skin
- want a product with oil control

Update 6 April 2012: Lately I found this product tend to be greasy on me. However it did work to lighten my blemishes although the stubborn ones might take longer time. I would not suggest this for oily skin since it would trigger more oil production in those who had oily skin like mine.
I could only use this in the evening (I don't mind to get oily in the evening when I just at home) since it really helped to reduce my blemishes/pigmentation, and I did not use this in the morning cuz it's too rich, tend to be greasy (shiny) and would ruin my make up complexion.
I would recommend this for those who have dry and normal skin.

I will keep update this review, so remember to check on me next time : )

Hope this review can help. Ever try this product? Whats ur opinion, I want to know, please leave comments here and thanks for ur visit...

Oriflame Cream has become quite popular among women going to the office. This same cream moisturizer, fusion and sunscreen all get together. It also works primer, skin treatment and congestion. oriflame Cream is called Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm. The application of this cream, while saving time, gets complete coverage. Most oriflame creams are made of hybronic acid and glycerin, which help in maintaining moisture and wrinkles in the skin.
